Where is your practice located?
See our Locations and Directions page.

What are your office hours?
Springfield Urology is open from 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday – Friday, and is closed Saturday and Sunday.

What if I have an emergency:  can I be seen today?
Same day or next day appointments are available for emergencies, and at Springfield Urology, we have a policy to get ALL new patients in within a week.  For after-hour emergencies or weekend emergencies, call the main Springfield Urology line and you will be directed to our on-call physician.  You may be required to leave a message, but the physician will make sure your emergency is handled quickly and appropriately.  Please go straight to the emergency room if you are unable to wait for the physician to return your call.  One of our physicians will either meet you at the emergency room or contact the emergency room physician.

Do you accept my insurance?
We participate with most major insurance companies including Anthem, UHC, Medical Mutual, and Aetna.  We are also providers for Medicare, most Medicare advantage plans, Ohio Medicaid, and Molina.  However, we do not participate with all insurance companies.  If you are unsure of our participation with your insurance company, please contact them to verify our participation.
As a courtesy and convenience to you, we will file claims for all our patients.

What payment options are available?
Springfield Urology accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • All major credit cards:  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express

If I cannot afford to pay the full balance, does your office offer payment plans?
Yes!  Patient balances are due in full by the date on your first statement.  However, if you are
unable to pay your full balance, please contact our business office to set up payment arrangements.

Why did I get a statement when I thought my insurance was going to cover everything?
We will send you an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) explaining:

  • What the insurance will cover
  • Insurance adjustments
  • Services that are not covered by insurance
  • Unmet patient deductibles

Please contact the Springfield Urology billing department if you have any questions concerning your statement.

Why do I owe more than my co-pay?
In addition to your co-pay, you may be required to meet a deductible before your insurance pays towards the balance.  Many insurance companies require us to bill a certain percentage of the total bill to you, for example 20% or 30%.  Please contact your insurance company if you have a question about your percentage of the bill that will be paid by the insurance company.  Also, some of our services may not be covered by your insurance program.

How long does it take to get my medical records?
Usually we can release your medical records within 7-10 days after receiving your release form.

Does Springfield Urology charge for my medical records?
We charge a fee of $20.00 for the copying of your medical records.

What information do I need to bring to my first office visit?
Please see our “New Patient Guide” for information about what to bring to your first visit.
